In Terra State Community College’s continued dynamic transformation, on May 1, the College welcomed the services of Attain, a management, technology, and strategy-consulting firm that delivers market leading results to customers in the government, healthcare, education, and nonprofit markets. Attain will be overseeing all duties of the Terra State Financial Aid Office.
By collaborating with Attain, Terra State will be able to focus better on the technical efficiency in using Banner, as well as, the customer service needs of the students seeking financial aid. This endeavor is very important in that 65% of all Terra State students apply for some form of financial aid. Any steps that the college can take to make the application process and delivery of financial assistance easier will only go to enhance the education experience of our students.
Attain will have two employees on site. James Roads will serve as the Student Finance Manager. Diana Howey will be the Student Finance Specialist. They will be located on the second floor of Roy Klay Hall. Additionally, Jerry Chung will work remotely from San Francisco. Two work-study students will also be in the office. To further improve customer service, calls to the Financial Aid Office will be taken by an answering service from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday to give students a more immediate response after hours.
